This is the ultimate Himalayan experience. Guests will
be escorted by Tashi Tenzing, 3 times Everest Summiteer and grandson of Tenzing
Norgay the first Nepalese Summiteer of Everest. The trip lasts 10 days and will
be made by Pilatus porter aircraft that carries a maximum of 5 guests.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 01:
Arrive Kathmandu met by TASHI TENZING and transfer by car to the Dwarika’s Heritage hotel or Hyatt hotel. a brief introdury will be given by your tour leader . Welcome dinner with your Tour Leader at the hotel – A typical Nepali Dinner with 12 course meal. (Overnight Kathmandu) FB
Day 02: Kathmandu - Nepalgunj – Simikot - Flying hours 3 hours 2960m
After an early breakfast at the Hotel you will be transferd to the domestic airport for flight to Nepalgunj, which departs approximately 0900 hrs. In one hour you will arrive in Nepalgunj, a small airstrip on the south west Nepal plains at the base of the Himalayan foothills. Here we will transfer to our Pilatus Potter aircraft where our tour starts. We then fly north west toward a small airstrip and our final destination for the day Simikot . Its about 1 ½ hours of spectacular flight to Simikote. you will be served lunch at the Guest house at Simikote. After lunch will visit the local Village and enjoy the beauty and the scenery of Simikote. (Overnight at Sony Guest House) BLD
Day 03: Simikot – Rara Lake Flying hours 2 to 3 hours 2981 m

After breakfast at the lodge we start our flying journey toward the north of Simikote to get a view of the scared mountain in Tibet MOUNT KAILAS: (Mount Kailash (6,714m/22,028ft), Asia's most sacred mountain, is said to be at the heart of the ancient Shangshung kingdom, the supposed land of origin of the pre-Buddhist Bonpos. Mount Kailash is their soul-mountain (lari), which they also call Yungdrung Gu Tse, the Nine-story Swastika Mountain. This is the very place where the sect's legendary founder, Tonpa Shenrab, descended from heaven to earth. In the 11th century, with the revival and ascendancy of Buddhism in Tibet, Milarepa, the poet-saint and patriarch of the Kagyupa sect, was the dominant influence in the area. This came to pass when he defeated his Bonpo arch rival, Naro Bonchung, in a series of magical contests. Relic traces of this epic battle can be seen from time to time along the ritual circuit (khora) around Mt. Kailash.) We then head east towards the Limi Valley , one of the most remote places in Nepal where the locals still do trade with their Tibetan ancestors and live a semi nomadic life style. It’s a very beautiful area to fly and the flying can be nail biting experience. Finally we start heading south towards Rara Lake at 2981m. We land at Rara Lake , lunch will be served in the beautiful surrounding of the lake. After lunch your guide will take you for a walk along the lake side to see the flora and fauna. Day 04:Rara – Dolpo - Jomsom - Flying hrs 2-3 hours 2700m
You wake up with a beautiful sunrise on the Rara lake – We have our breakfast with the view of the lake. after breakfast we fasten our seat belt on our PC-6 and fly towards north east over Dolpo region and its famous Phoksindo lake - The home of the Snow leopard and the famous salt trade route which starts from Tibet and heads down to Dolpo. The scenery is breathtaking. We land at Jhupal for a Picnic lunch and then our final view of Mount Dhaulagiri range (The 7th highest Mountain in the world). We landing at Jomsom airfield. Over night at the Jomsom Mountain Resort. (An eco friendly resort)
Day 05:Jomsom – Manang- Langtang – Flying hrs 2-3 3800m
An early morning sun rise on the Annapurna 1 the 10th highest mountain in world. After breakfast we fly over Mustang Valley (also know as Little Tibet) with views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna Mountain ranges and the very beautiful Fishtail mountain. From here we fly over the Tilicho Lake and land at Humde (Manang) for picnic lunch. After lunch we head north east to wards Langtang Valley with a views of Shisha Pangma (the 14th highest Mountain in the world which lies in Tibet) Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa lodge.
Day 06:Langtang – Syangboche Flying hours 3 3880m
After healthy breakfast we fly east with views of the Langtang Himal range, Mount Gauri Shankar and 6th highest mountain in the world Mt Cho Oyu (also know as God of Turquoise). We land at a tiny airfield just above the famous Namche Bazaar (The capital of the Sherpa people) called Syanboche. From here we walk to our hotel at Hotel Everest View a gentle 20 mins walk. Hotel Everest View (HEV) situated at 3,880m. height in the Sagarmatha National Park is the highest located hotel in the world and commands a spectacular view of Mt. Everest (8,848 m.). Each room in HEV affords a panoramic view of Everest and many other high and awe-inspiring peaks including Amadablam.
Day 07:Syangboche – Taplejung – Kathmandu Flying hours 3
This is the day that you all have been waiting for – It will be a flight that you will remember it for a life time – It’s the most exciting and very stunning scenery of the 5 highest Mountains in the world including Everest (#1) Kanchanjunga (# 3) Lohtse (#4 ) Makalu (#5) and Cho Oyu (#6). The day starts early morning after a good breakfast we head to the Syangboche airstrp and commence our flight over the Gokyo lake and also witness first hand the Global warming effect on the Himalaya Mountain regions. Its very clear you can see the fast retreating glacier of the Mighty Himalaya that has divesting effects in the ecology and the welfare of the mountain people. After breathing taking views of Mount Everest and its surrounding peaks we head east toward Taplejung and fly beneath the mighty Kanchanjunga Mounatin range. We the land at the airstrip at Taplejung for lunch. After lunch we head back to Kathmandu our final journey and say good bye and thank our very well experience Mountain pilots of the Pilatus Potter PC-6. Arrive Kathmandu by mid afternoon and transfer to our Hotel at Dwarikas. Rest of the day is free. Dinner will be severed at the hotel around 7 pm. (Overnight Dwarikas) BLD
