Explore Nepal Treks(16Days)

Everest Rinjo Pass Trek

Overview
The Everest Gokyo Renjo Pass trek takes you to one of the most stunning mountain areas on earth. This short Everest trekking route enables trekkers who have limited time to discover some of the most beautiful areas of Nepal. Set amongst breathtaking high mountain scenery, the route leads through the Khumbu - Sherpa country. Two routes are possible: the Renjo Pass trek or an alternative itinerary. The trail to Gokyo is a gradual ascent up the valley, passing through forests of birch and rhododendron, where the elusive musk deer can sometimes be seen. Passing through small yak-grazing settlements, we reach the Gokyo lakes.

Highlights of the Trip
The flight to Lukla with its panorama of the eastern Himalayas is incredible. Experience Sherpa culture in Junbesi and Khumjung villages, explore Tyangboche monastery and the Sherpa museum in Namche Bazaar, and enjoy the panoramic views of the majestic Himalayas from Syanbuche, Kalapatar and Everest Base Camp. View the beautiful glacial lake from Gokyo peak.

Difficulties of the Trek
The Gokyo Valley Via Renjo Pass trek is suitable for any walker looking for something a little more challenging and energetic. It does not require that you have any previous trekking or mountaineering experience. Although the terrain is not difficult, some vigorous hiking experience is useful. Technical experience is not required, but you should be in good physical condition and be able to hike for 4-6 hours over hilly terrain with a light day pack.

Sample Day on "Gokyo Valley Via Renjo Pass Trek"
You will wake up eager to start your Everest trekking day. Before breakfast you pack your stuff into your kit bag which is then taken by the porters and will not usually be available to you until lodge that afternoon. We are usually on the trail between 7.30 am and 8.30 am. Following a good mornings walk, we stop for lunch at around 11 am. Lunch is usually a one-hour break to allow for the trekkers meal followed by the crews meal. This break also enables you to do your washing or take a short break, although with stops along the way, you will cope with a moderately graded trek. Speed is not important; stamina, confidence and continuity are. The evenings are spent reading or chatting with your associate trekkers and crew about the trip so far. A pack of cards is an asset on these nights; the crew love teaching various Nepali card games and learning new Western games. Finally, Before going to bed your guide will brief your about tomorrows trekking route. It’s off to bed for a well deserved nights rest before you continue on your Everest Gokyo Renjo Pass trek.
